First Stop: North Seymour Island
Start your day with breakfast at 6:30 a.m. Then, at 7:45 a.m., depart from the hotel to Puerto Ayora. From there, embark on a 45-minute journey to the Itabaca Channel, where the Sea Lion Yacht awaits. A 45-minute sail brings us to North Seymour, where a Dry Landing awaits.
Exploring North Seymour
North Seymour’s unique flat terrain offers encounters with Galapagos wildlife. From lounging sea lions to iconic birds like frigatebirds and blue-footed boobies, the island teems with biodiversity. Keep an eye out for the endemic land iguana and Nazca booby. Expect to spot up to 7 of the iconic Galapagos species from our BIG15 list.
Duration at North Seymour: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Next Stop: Las Bachas Beach
At noon, sail to Las Bachas Beach on Santa Cruz Island. After a 45-minute journey, enjoy a Wet Landing.
Exploring Las Bachas Beach
Once a WWII site, Las Bachas is now a nesting area for green sea turtles. This white sandy beach offers snorkeling and birdwatching opportunities.
Duration at Las Bachas Beach: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Return Journey
After lunch aboard the Sea Lion Yacht, sail back to the Itabaca Channel (30 minutes). Then, a 45-minute bus ride returns you to Puerto Ayora and the Finch Bay Galapagos Hotel.

Start your day with breakfast at 6:30 a.m. Depart from the hotel at 8:15 a.m. and head to Puerto Ayora. From there, embark on a 45-minute journey to the Itabaca Channel. Board the Sea Lion Yacht and sail to Punta Carrión, a 15-minute journey.
Exploring Punta Carrión
Snorkel in the small bay of Punta Carrión and marvel at the diverse marine life, including fish, rays, and whitetip reef sharks.
Next Stop: South Plaza Island
Arrive at South Plaza Island at 12:05 p.m. Disembark and explore the island’s unique flora and fauna.
Exploring South Plaza Island
South Plaza Island offers rich biodiversity, with unique landscapes and wildlife. Encounter land iguanas, seabirds, and bachelor sea lion colonies.
Duration at South Plaza Island: 12:00 p.m. to 2:40 p.m.
Return Journey
Enjoy lunch aboard the Sea Lion Yacht while admiring the island. Depart for Puerto Ayora at 2:40 p.m., arriving around 4:20 p.m. Return to the Finch Bay Galapagos Hotel.
