When is the best time to visit the Galapagos?

When is the optimal time to observe wildlife in the Galapagos?
On land: Many suggest that the prime time for up-close encounters with terrestrial flora and fauna is during the warm season. While hiking conditions may be more agreeable in the dry season, the warm season typically offers heightened wildlife activity on land. This is largely attributed to the flourishing vegetation during this period, providing ample food sources for all species. For instance, during the warm season, marine and land iguanas exhibit their most vibrant colors (for mating purposes), and the hatching of Galapagos giant tortoise eggs commences at breeding centers on both Santa Cruz and San Cristobal islands.
